Astrolog is supplied as a zipped file. You will need an unzipping tool like WinZip (You can download a free copy of WinZip from here)

The Astrolog from this site will be a new one that is designed for Windows. If you have used Astrolog before, you will like this one better.

Once you have downloaded and unzipped Astrolog:

Open it and under <edit> write the time zone, latitude and longitude of your current position.

You can then find your way around it and choose the settings you prefer. If you just don't know, leave the defaults. They are simple.

Under <Files> hit <save current settings>. That will bring your chart up to your current location.

There is a list on the side that tells you degrees of each planet and house cusp (beginning).

If you don't know the glyphs, use my glyph page where I show them all.

Charts 2, 3 and four are automatically set for current place and time. You can use them to compare two or more charts.

Choosing more than 2 will be pretty confusing at first...too many aspects to show them all.

Enter your birth information on Chart 1 and save chart data under Edit.

You can then enter and save as many charts as you like. Under Charts if you hit 2 Wheels, you will have a comparison chart of charts saver as Chart 1 and 2.

You can either look at your own chart with current planets on the second wheel, or look at your chart with another person's chart, or you can compare two other people's charts.

Pressing the + or - button will forward the outer chart one day at a time, which is a nice way to see what is coming up when the current date is the outer chart. This will not work if Chart 2 is another person's chart, for obvious reasons.

There are interpretations here, but they are not very good. Try to use mine instead and make your own connections. It is worth it if you want to learn this. And the interpretations used in the program will confuse you and lead you astray.
