Putting it all together

First take the point of view of the planet. "I am Venus, harmonious, creative, all about relationship."

Then look at the Sign, " I am Venus in Taurus, I rule Taurus and I am very comfortable here, earthy and sensual." or "I am Venus in Scorpio, very sexy" or I am Venus in Aries, fiery, female energy that is very independent"

Then look at the house, "I am Venus in Taurus in the Second House, I create and money just comes to me" or "I am Venus in Scorpio in the 6th, sexuality is my life's calling" or I am Venus in Aries in the first, fiery and independent is who I am, where is my motorcycle?"

Then look at the Aspects. "I am Venus in Taurus in the second house with a sextile to my Moon in the fourth house. Its a good thing I get money easily because it is my home and family that makes me happiest and that is where I will spend my money and show my best creativity"

Or "I am Venus in Scorpio in the 6th square my Moon in Aquarius in the 9th, I am really sexy and it is my life's work to be sexually healing, but I have a bit of the wanderlust, so don't settle down easily, I just keep loving and healing along the way"

Or "I am Venus in Aries in the first conjunct Mercury in the first, creativity is my arena, I must express my independence, it is who I am. Where is my motorcycle?"

You can go all the way around the chart looking at each detail this way. this is called reading a chart.

Don't worry if you don't feel like you are getting it all right away, Astrology is generally a 20 year study. But you can easily see some things, rather soon.  As you come back to it and try again, you will learn more.
