The Fifth Chakra

The Throat in Sanskrit Visshudha (purification) is the energy area corresponding to communication. This is in the throat and mouth and lower jaw.

As the third chakra involves the application of will, so the fifth chakra focuses outward by turning energy into vibration and symbol in order to communicate with others. It is the chakra of connection, expression and creativity.

In balance this chakra allows expression of ideas and synthesis of the creative force.

Out of balance, this area creates limited self expression. There is a feeling of swallowing your thoughts. In the lack of ability to express oneself, there is a paralysis and lack of empowerment.

This often manifests physically with tightness in the throat. The physical areas of this chakra are the throat, mouth and teeth.

This Chakra's vibrates to a rich, true blue.
