The Sixth Chakra

The Third Eye, Ajna (to perceive) in Sanskrit. It is located about an inch up from the center of your brow and about an inch inside the head, it vibrates to the energy of intuition, dreams and inner knowing.

This is the area of sight, insight and visualization. Clairvoyance happens here it is the point of consciousness that facilitates healing. The third Eye is the energy of the body beyond logical perceptions It leans into the subtler levels of intuitive knowledge.

In balance, this chakra provides us with the wonders the dimensions beyond physical perception. It is the area of soul awareness.

Out of balance, this chakra allows logic and second guessing to interfere with the natural flow of insight. There is a tendency to make mistakes by getting into one's own way.

Out of balance we find ourselves left with only logic, which is a poor substitute for clarity. The physical energy that corresponds with this chakra is vision and brain function.

This Chakra's color is a pure, clear violet.

Gemstones colored purple apply to this chakra, like: Amethyst or Chalcedony Keep the color vivid and wear the gem right on the chakra, perhaps on a headband or a coronet.
